About the role#
This position is for a Teaching Assistant for MUS-250L during the Fall 2026 term. You will work directly with the instructor to support classroom activities and provide technical guidance to students. This is a paid, part-time role requiring 10 hours of work per week on-site in Redmond, Washington.
What you'll do#
- Meet with students to provide feedback on sound design contributions for their Game Projects.
- Grade student work, including sound design submissions, documentation, and peer feedback assignments.
- Organize course materials and manage student submissions.
- Support in-class activities and participate in collaborative critiques.
- Help students navigate technical and creative challenges related to audio implementation.
- Assist the instructor with equipment setup and classroom operations.
What you'll need#
- Current matriculated student status at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Good Academic Standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Completed and passed MUS-251 with a grade of B or better.
- Strong understanding of sound design and audio production workflows.
- Familiarity with audio middleware, such as FMOD or Wwise.
- Clear communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington. You must reside within the state.
- Term: September 4, 2026, to December 16, 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. (plus additional hours to reach 10 hours per week).
- Wage: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on experience at the institution.
- Note: You cannot work during any time you have a class scheduled.
