About the role#
Entegris is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer Co-Op for the Winter 2027 season. This is a 6-month, full-time assignment based at our Chaska, MN facility. You will work directly with security architects and engineers to protect our identity, cloud, and operational technology environments. This is a hands-on position where you will gain exposure to a modern enterprise security stack at a global manufacturing company.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with security engineers on daily tasks and design reviews.
- Write and improve Python scripts to automate manual reporting processes.
- Analyze identity data sets to identify security gaps like stale accounts or missing MFA coverage.
- Compare system configurations in Azure, Google Cloud, and M365 against established security baselines.
- Build and maintain recurring metrics reports using Excel or Power BI.
- Track the progress of security remediation findings.
- Maintain security documentation, including runbooks, asset inventories, and network diagrams.
- Test and document steps for common tasks such as endpoint agent installation and access requests.
- Learn to use infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Complete a scoped final project and present your findings to the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.
- Completion of at least one introductory course in computing, networking, or information technology.
- Hands-on coding experience with Python.
- Interest in learning automation and infrastructure as code tools.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow written procedures.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with your university requirements for co-op participation.
