About the role#
This is a full-time, 6-month co-op position based in San Luis Obispo, California, for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site from January through June, Monday to Friday, 8a-5p. This role is paid at a rate of $20-$30 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to create detailed schematics and designs using SolidWorks.
- Perform Manufacturing Redlines and process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
- Draft drawings for various systems.
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure precise, high-quality designs.
- Assist in new product development systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned, which may include climbing ladders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student majoring in Mechanical Engineering, with a graduation date of Spring 2027 or later.
- Proficiency in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the engineering team.
- Familiarity with your university requirements for co-op program participation.
