About the role#
Entegris is seeking an R&D Analytical Chemist Co-Op for a 6-month assignment in Danbury, Connecticut. This full-time position runs from January through June 2027. You will work on-site, 40 hours per week, supporting our analytical research efforts in the semiconductor industry.
What you'll do#
- Train on analytical instruments including ICP-MS, GC, and FTIR.
- Handle hazardous materials, such as toxic, corrosive, and air-sensitive gases and liquids.
- Apply best practices for method development and validation to solve real-world measurement challenges.
- Implement automation and AI-driven solutions to address technical project needs.
- Communicate project outcomes through written reports and verbal presentations for a diverse audience.
- Develop a fundamental understanding of analytical instrumentation and its applications.
- Handle, move, and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, such as gas cylinders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Analytical Chemistry.
- A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Familiarity with your university's requirements for co-op participation.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A self-starting, goal-oriented, and organized approach to work.
- A commitment to safety and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work on-site in Danbury, CT.
