About the role#
We are looking for a Reliability Engineer Co-Op to join our Bedford, Massachusetts site for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, six-month assignment where you will focus on improving equipment reliability, process yield, and uptime. You will collaborate closely with maintenance and process engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and document new procedures.
What you'll do#
- Partner with maintenance and process engineering teams to drive product quality and equipment availability.
- Participate in safety programs and support equipment FMEAs.
- Help mitigate equipment obsolescence and business continuity risks.
- Support the scoping, design, and upgrade of manufacturing equipment to increase capacity and revenue.
- Identify opportunities to improve current equipment and fixtures to boost yield.
- Work with development teams to integrate new capabilities.
- Review technical documentation and assist with spare part identification.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives related to equipment expenses.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university program, specifically in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with your university requirements for co-op participation.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively within a team.
- Experience using data to drive continuous improvement, reliability, and cost-reduction.
- Ability to work with chemicals and operate within a clean room environment.
- Proficiency in reading and using mechanical and electrical drawings.
- An understanding of pneumatic control systems is a plus.
