About the role#
Entegris is seeking a Science & Engineering Co-op to join our team in Bedford, Massachusetts. This is a full-time, 6-month assignment for the Winter 2027 term, running from January through June. You will work on-site, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
What you'll do#
- Develop, lead, and implement projects using CAD software to improve operational efficiency and deliver savings.
- Improve the maturity of process data and apply statistical methods to increase yields.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives, including continuous improvement, value stream mapping, and problem solving.
- Apply manufacturing best practices to drive safety, quality, reliability, and predictability.
- Collaborate with teams to identify problems, analyze information, and implement process solutions.
- Assist in directing and controlling processes according to defined policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, preferably pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Ability to perform CAD designs using software such as SolidWorks or CATIA.
- Practical, detail-oriented mindset with a focus on creative problem solving.
- Interest in hands-on work and understanding how things are made.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with your university requirements for co-op participation.
Location & details#
- Location: Bedford, Massachusetts.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Duration: 6 months (January 2027 to June 2027).
- Physical Requirements: Must be willing to wear safety glasses, nitrile gloves, and other required safety garments. The role involves potential exposure to metal powders, isopropyl alcohol, and DI water.
