About the role#
As an ODA Collegiate Intern, you will join the Organization Designation Authorization team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside airworthiness engineers, program managers, and regulatory authorities to support aircraft certification. This role provides exposure to how regulatory requirements apply to the development of new and modified aircraft. You will gain experience with FAA certification projects, foreign validation activities, and Gulfstream aircraft development programs.
What you'll do#
- Support certification planning and compliance documentation.
- Assist with issue resolution and cross-functional coordination.
- Contribute to laboratory and flight test certification activities to help demonstrate aircraft compliance with FAA regulations.
- Review technical documentation and certification artifacts.
- Strengthen your technical communication and project coordination skills.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Completion of your sophomore year prior to the start date.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Familiarity with Part 25 regulations and guidance material.
- General knowledge of aircraft systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and documentation review.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze complex technical information and collaborate across multiple teams.
