About the role#
HealthCorps is looking for a Marketing & Communications intern to support our Teens Make Health Happen program in San Diego. You will help share the impact of our work by creating digital content, managing social media, and assisting with regional events. This role is ideal for students interested in nonprofit storytelling, public health, and community outreach.
What you'll do#
- Support content collection and storytelling projects for digital communications.
- Assist with the development of communications materials for students, families, and partners.
- Help manage regional social media channels, including Instagram and TikTok.
- Support the promotion and execution of regional events.
- Track engagement analytics and assist in monthly reporting.
- Visit local school sites to capture content and stories.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program in Communications, Marketing, Public Health, or Business Administration.
- Applied understanding of basic marketing principles.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic photography, image, and video editing skills.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
