    About the role#

    This internship provides hands-on experience within the WMUR Engineering and Production department. You will work alongside permanent staff to learn the daily technical operations of a television station. The program focuses on practical training and exposure to broadcast systems in a real-world environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Train on technical equipment under the supervision of staff members.
    • Assist with production tasks including floor directing, camera operation, prompter use, editing, and directing.
    • Learn about air operations in master control.
    • Support engineering functions such as the installation and repair of broadcast systems.
    • Participate in IT operations.
    • Spend the final portion of the program in your preferred areas for additional training.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a college program related to Electrical Engineering, Media Studies, or Communications.
    • An interest in television engineering and production processes.
    • Basic understanding of technical operations in a television environment.
    • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a team.
    • Organizational skills to manage your internship schedule and responsibilities.

    • Location: Manchester, New Hampshire.
    • Term: Summer 2026.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Commitment: Up to 24 hours per week, scheduled based on mutual availability.
