About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the WMUR Engineering and Production department. You will work alongside permanent staff to learn the daily technical operations of a television station. The program focuses on practical training and exposure to broadcast systems in a real-world environment.
What you'll do#
- Train on technical equipment under the supervision of staff members.
- Assist with production tasks including floor directing, camera operation, prompter use, editing, and directing.
- Learn about air operations in master control.
- Support engineering functions such as the installation and repair of broadcast systems.
- Participate in IT operations.
- Spend the final portion of the program in your preferred areas for additional training.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program related to Electrical Engineering, Media Studies, or Communications.
- An interest in television engineering and production processes.
- Basic understanding of technical operations in a television environment.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Organizational skills to manage your internship schedule and responsibilities.

- Location: Manchester, New Hampshire.
