About the role#
HNTB is hiring Intern Engineers for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Wisconsin. Interns will work within our Structures and Traffic Management Planning teams to support ongoing infrastructure projects. Please note that relocation and housing assistance are not provided for this role.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Support research, development, and project design.
- Prepare engineering drawings and related documentation.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and organize project information.
- Complete other assigned duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program (Civil, Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical).
- A basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to follow direction from peers and supervisors.
- Familiarity with introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
- Completion of at least 2 years of an engineering program is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred.
- An interest in transportation and infrastructure is preferred.
