    About the role#

    As an Embedded Engineer intern, you will develop and implement software for embedded devices and systems. You will work on the first layer of code that runs on a device, requiring a solid understanding of the underlying hardware. This role involves monitoring system efficiency and stability while supporting quality assurance and optimizing I/O performance.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop, test, and troubleshoot system software.
    • Implement software for embedded devices.
    • Analyze and monitor system efficiency and stability.
    • Support software quality assurance processes.
    • Optimize I/O performance.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program or higher in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
    • A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
    • A minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • Commitment to continue enrollment in your degree program after the internship ends.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • Familiarity with embedded systems development using C, C++, or ADA.
    • Knowledge of software configuration management.
    • Experience with tools such as Matlab, Simulink, LabView, or Python.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
    • The role is based on-site in North Carolina.
    • Relocation benefits and short-term housing are provided if your assigned work location is 50 miles or more from your current residence.
