    About the role#

    The Technical Service Intern role provides practical work experience in the food and beverage industry. You will work on-site at food and dairy customer facilities to provide chemical sanitation solutions. You will listen to customer needs to offer solutions that improve quality, create efficiencies, and increase productivity. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform CIP validations at food and dairy customer facilities.
    • Analyze wash cycles to provide recommendations for time, cost, water, and chemical savings.
    • Assist with preparing written service and usage reports.
    • Identify continuous profit improvement opportunities for customers.
    • Provide thorough, timely analysis for assigned projects and tasks.
    • Complete a final report summarizing training, projects, and learning objectives.
    • Present your accomplishments to management at the end of the internship.
    • Uphold company standards and perform duties as assigned by your supervisor.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree.
    • Preferred degrees include Food or Dairy Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Status as a self-starter.
    • Demonstrated leadership and presentation skills are preferred.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Lubbock, Texas.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (June through August).
    • Work Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
    • Schedule: Flexibility for off-shift hours and frequent overnight work is required.
