    About the role#

    The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring an intern for the Winter 2027 program. This is a paid, full-time consultant role based at our headquarters. You will gain professional experience in development work and corporate management. This position is open to nationals of IDB member countries who are currently enrolled in a graduate program.

    What you'll do#

    • Collect and analyze data on specific topics.
    • Conduct econometric and statistical analyses.
    • Support the development of ad hoc analyses regarding infrastructure and energy issues.
    • Synthesize research findings and translate them into policy implications.
    • Prepare reports as required.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be an active graduate student in economics, public policy, energy economics, resource economics, or a similar field.
    • Your expected graduation date must be after March 15, 2027.
    • You need a strong background in econometrics, mathematics, and statistics.
    • Stata programming skills are required.
    • Knowledge of the energy sector is necessary.
    • You must be fluent in English.
    • You have not previously participated in an IDB or IDB Invest internship or worked as a staff member or contractor for the Bank.

    Location & details#

    • This internship is located in Washington, D.C.
    • The contract runs from January 16, 2027, to March 15, 2027.
    • You must be available to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the program.
