    About the role#

    The 2027 Winter Internship Program offers graduate students the opportunity to gain professional work experience in development and corporate management. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Washington D.C. for a two-month duration from January 16th to March 15th, 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Research markets and corporate subsectors such as agribusiness, mining, tourism, manufacturing, and digital infrastructure.
    • Create sector-level pitchbooks and presentation materials for strategic discussions.
    • Benchmark companies, markets, risks, and opportunities across various sectors.
    • Draft analytical inputs to support internal knowledge-sharing and planning.
    • Coordinate materials and support logistics for internal meetings and sector initiatives.

    What you'll need#

    • Active enrollment in a graduate program for computer science, data science, industrial engineering, or a related field.
    • Completion of at least 50% of your required graduate coursework.
    • Proficiency in English and a working knowledge of Spanish, French, or Portuguese.
    • Ability to manage and analyze multiple data sources and large datasets.
    • Experience with Advanced Excel, including Power Query and Pivot Tables.
    • Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
    • Experience in dashboard design, KPI development, and tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

    • Location: Washington D.C., United States.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
    • Duration: January 16th to March 15th, 2027.
    • Requirements: Applicants must be first-time participants in an IDB Group internship and have no family members currently working at the IDB or IDB Invest. International students must secure their own work authorization through CPT or OPT.
