About the role#
The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring a graduate student for a two-month internship within the Office of Ethics. This paid position provides an opportunity to gain professional experience in development work and corporate management. You will work on-site at our headquarters in Washington, D.C., from January 16th to March 15th, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Research, compile, and analyze data relevant to the Office of Ethics.
- Assist in drafting consultations regarding the application of the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
- Review case data and ethics consultations to identify behavioral patterns that support policy and protocol development.
- Collaborate on the preparation of documents and templates for consultations and the Declaration of Interest Program.
- Support the team with outreach and training activities, including data collection and the development of communication products.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a graduate program for Criminal Justice, International Relations, Political Science, Business Administration, or Philosophy.
- Completion of at least 50% of your required coursework.
- Fluency in English plus a working knowledge of Spanish, French, or Portuguese.
- Citizenship of an IDB member country.
- You must not have family members currently working at the IDB or IDB Invest.
- This must be your first internship with the IDB Group.
