About the role#
Interfor is hiring a Maintenance Intern for a summer role in Georgetown, South Carolina. This is a paid, full-time position that offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals to solve real-world challenges and gain exposure to modern sawmill operations.
What you'll do#
- Learn how industrial maintenance supports safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
- Contribute to projects focused on equipment reliability, process improvement, and operational performance.
- Build technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to address daily technical tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program related to Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well with others.
- Interest in hands-on work within an industrial setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Starting from $3,700 per month, plus a temporary living allowance for those relocating.
