    About the role#

    The Operations Intern provides administrative and operational support to the International Rescue Committee team in Atlanta. This role reports to the Operations Coordinator and requires an on-site presence. This is an unpaid internship opportunity for the Fall 2026 term.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the Administrative Assistant with managing reception materials.
    • Maintain the reception area and lobby to ensure a professional environment.
    • Cover the front desk for the Administrative Assistant.
    • Liaise with office and equipment maintenance providers and external parties.
    • Submit intern hours through the volunteer dashboard.
    • Handle other operational duties as assigned.

    What you'll need#

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
    • Strong time management, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
    • Commitment of 15 hours per week for at least 3 consecutive months.
    • Ability to pass a background check.
    • Preferred majors include Business Administration, Political Science, Human Resources, or Operations Management.
