About the role#
The Operations Intern provides administrative and operational support to the International Rescue Committee team in Atlanta. This role reports to the Operations Coordinator and requires an on-site presence. This is an unpaid internship opportunity for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Support the Administrative Assistant with managing reception materials.
- Maintain the reception area and lobby to ensure a professional environment.
- Cover the front desk for the Administrative Assistant.
- Liaise with office and equipment maintenance providers and external parties.
- Submit intern hours through the volunteer dashboard.
- Handle other operational duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong time management, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- Commitment of 15 hours per week for at least 3 consecutive months.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Political Science, Human Resources, or Operations Management.
