About the role#
The Retail Dining Student Marketing Lead supports the growth and visibility of Retail Dining Services through branding and content creation. You will work with the Retail Dining Assistant Manager to follow a marketing calendar that promotes special events, seasonal campaigns, and menu offerings. This position helps strengthen the identity of each campus café and promotes them as destinations for students and faculty.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and create photos, videos, graphics, and written content for Retail Dining.
- Collaborate with Student Managers and employees to produce engaging content.
- Ensure all marketing materials follow Dining Services branding standards.
- Assist with flyers, digital signage, and promotional displays.
- Track assigned projects and communicate progress to management.
- Promote catering services, campus events, and new menu items.
- Attend required meetings and marketing planning sessions.
What you'll need#
- Interest or experience in marketing, communications, social media, photography, graphic design, or journalism.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar creative tools is preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while remaining detail-oriented.
- Comfort collaborating with other students while taking direction from management.
- Ability to work independently and accept feedback.
Location & details#
- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Minimum of 6 hours per week, up to a maximum of 20 hours.
- Compensation: $16 per hour.
