About the role#
This is a temporary, full-time summer internship for students pursuing degrees in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering. The position runs from mid-May to mid-August 2027. You will work on-site at our facility in Ashland, Maine, gaining experience in the forest products industry while working with our maintenance and operations teams.
What you'll do#
- Identify safety equipment, locations, and emergency procedures.
- Engage and execute a visual standards project.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team on small-scale improvement projects.
- Investigate and resolve small production-related deviations.
- Communicate project updates and solutions to vendors, contractors, and leadership.
- Present a summary of your summer accomplishments and learning to the Plant and Maintenance Managers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering program.
- Completion of at least one year of post-secondary education.
- Good academic standing.
