About the role#
This 9-week internship at the Bull Run Plant offers hands-on experience in quarry operations. You will spend your summer learning about blasting, heavy equipment operation, plant maintenance, and quality control. The program focuses on building core skills in safety, equipment management, and site planning.
What you'll do#
- Complete tasks and projects with attention to detail.
- Participate in pit and plant training.
- Assist with equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Follow quality control procedures and perform lab testing.
- Help with sales and dispatch, including weighing and ticketing haul trucks.
- Keep your work area clean and organized.
- Attend daily safety briefings and identify potential hazards.
- Seek feedback and coaching from your team.
- Present a summary of your experiences and learning outcomes at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an advanced degree or certificate program in a related field.
- A desire to grow your career within the mining industry.
