About the role#
The General Accounts Internship Program provides students with exposure to institutional investing, credit underwriting, and portfolio management. You will work within the General Account Investment team, which manages assets supporting the company's long-term financial obligations. This program offers hands-on experience in fixed income investing and credit analysis while working alongside investment professionals.
What you'll do#
- Support investment professionals in the underwriting, evaluation, and monitoring of public and private debt investments.
- Conduct financial statement analysis and credit evaluations of existing and prospective borrowers.
- Develop financial models and perform scenario analysis to evaluate credit strength and investment performance.
- Prepare investment summaries, research reports, credit reviews, and presentation materials.
- Support ESG analysis by assessing environmental, social, and governance factors and their impact on investment risk.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date of Spring 2028.
- Strong interest in investments, corporate finance, credit analysis, fixed income markets, or institutional asset management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information into actionable insights.
