About the role#
Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories is looking for an intern to join our team for research on robotic disassembly. You will work on topics like task and sequence planning, perception under occlusion, contact-rich manipulation, and using vision-language models for acting under uncertainty. This is a full-time, paid position based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

- Design and implement new algorithms for robotic systems.

What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A strong background in robot learning or computer vision.
- Experience with ROS2, Python, and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
- A strong publication record or clear research potential.

- Term: Rolling start dates and flexible duration.
- Compensation: 6,000 to 8,000 dollars per month.
