About the role#
The Sands College of Performing Arts is hiring a Student Assistant to work directly with the Administrative Manager and General Manager. This role provides administrative support to help the department run smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Manage calendars and department communications, including student sign-out sheets.
- Coordinate room resources and classroom management.
- Help plan and execute program events.
- Handle general clerical tasks like filing, photocopying, shredding, and sending faxes.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information discreetly.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Patience when working with visitors.
- Office experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week during the school term and up to 35 hours per week during breaks.
- Majors: Business Administration, Communications, or Media Studies.
- This position is paid and requires you to be a federal work-study recipient.
