About the role#
The Housing Operations Student Assistant provides administrative support to the department at the Pleasantville campus. This role involves managing office tasks, assisting visitors, and supporting staff with various projects.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and answer questions about department procedures.
- Manage a high volume of phone calls and take detailed messages for staff.
- Perform clerical tasks including filing, photocopying, and shredding.
- Assist with department projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Must have Federal Work Study eligibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
- Capacity to lift, carry, push, or pull light objects like boxes or supplies.
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Pleasantville, New York.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week during the school session and up to 35 hours during breaks. Specific hours are determined with your supervisor.
- This is a paid, on-site position.
