About the role#
The Sands College of Performing Arts is hiring a Program Student Assistant to provide administrative support to faculty and staff. This role is open to students in Communications, Art, or Media Studies who have an interest in the performing arts. You will work on-site in New York.
What you'll do#
- Help set up and break down classrooms, including sweeping and tidying studios.
- Assist with the planning and execution of program events.
- Manage general clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, shredding, and sending faxes.
- Help with calendar management and department communications.
What you'll need#
- You must be eligible for Federal Work Study.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Office, and Outlook.
- Access to a reliable laptop with up-to-date software.
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week during the school session and up to 35 hours per week during breaks. Specific hours are determined with your supervisor.
- Term: Rolling.
