About the role#
As a Project Engineer Intern, you will work alongside our project teams to support the completion of assigned projects. This role focuses on learning how we manage construction processes, company policies, and daily operations. You will gain exposure to the financial and technical aspects of our work while building a foundation for a career in the industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project team with day-to-day project tasks.
- Learn construction industry processes, procedures, and company policies.
- Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
- Develop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety.
- Communicate clearly with team members both orally and in writing.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- You must be within 18 months of graduation.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for a minimum of a three-month term.
- General knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
- Ability to read and understand contracts, specifications, and architectural and engineering drawings.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Work is on-site at our offices in Dallas, Texas; Minneapolis, Minnesota; or Chicago, Illinois.
- This position is offered on a rolling basis.
