    About the role#

    This internship position is based in the Nuclear Power Group. You will join a project team and work under the direction of senior engineers to support the design, modification, and upgrade of nuclear power plant systems. This role involves integrating electrical and mechanical engineering with control theory to improve plant functionality. You will work with components such as sensors, digital controllers, pumps, valves, and reactors.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
    • Track and evaluate project activities, progress, and associated data for project reporting.
    • Support senior team members in the execution of project work.
    • Solve engineering problems by using data and tools such as automation or AI to improve workflows and design efficiency.
    • Use programming or scripting languages like Python or MATLAB to automate calculations and design checks.

    What you'll need#

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Strong academic background with coursework in analog and digital control systems, systems engineering, mechatronics, or robotics.
    • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Enrollment in an ABET-accredited program is preferred.
    • Ability to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

    • Employment type: Full-time.
    • Compensation: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour.
