    About the role#

    This internship is part of the Nuclear Power Group for the summer of 2027. You will join a project team to assist senior engineers with the design, modification, and upgrade of power plant systems. This work integrates electrical and mechanical engineering with control theory to support nuclear power infrastructure.

    What you'll do#

    • Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
    • Support the design of new plant systems and upgrades to existing components.
    • Track and evaluate project activities and progress through reporting tasks.
    • Apply your knowledge of electronic process sensors, digital controllers, and power plant equipment like valves, pumps, and turbines.
    • Solve engineering problems by using automation, data analysis, and AI tools to improve workflows and draft documentation.

    What you'll need#

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Academic background in analog and digital control systems, systems engineering, mechatronics, or robotics.
    • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience or coursework in mechatronics, robotics, or programming languages like Python and MATLAB is valued.
