About the role#
We are looking for an Accounting Intern to join our team in Nashville. This role offers hands-on experience in the financial operations of our firm. You will work directly with accounting professionals to learn about core accounting processes, financial reporting, and daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist with accounts payable and month-end activities.
- Prepare financial analyses and support Project Accounting with billing, project setup, and closure.
- Organize financial records and supporting documentation.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Attend team meetings, capture notes, and track action items to ensure tasks move forward.
- Share coursework insights with the team and participate in trainings, lunch-and-learns, and site walks.
- Communicate with supervisors and peers, ask questions, and escalate blockers early.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written communication, presentation skills, and strong speech clarity.
- Professionalism and the ability to collaborate well in team settings.
- Good judgment and decision-making capabilities.
- An eagerness to learn and contribute.
