About the role#
We are looking for a Plumbing Design Intern to join our team in Memphis. This role provides hands-on experience in plumbing systems design for healthcare, education, commercial, and sports facilities. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support project delivery.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with the design of plumbing systems for various facility types.
- Attend site visits, design meetings, and internal project reviews.
- Create calculations, diagrams, and technical documentation using Revit.
- Research engineering decisions and verify code compliance.
- Work with other disciplines in a team-focused environment.
- Learn industry codes and standards such as IPC, UPC, NFPA, and ASPE.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related degree program.
- A strong interest in building systems.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD tools.
- Initiative and a willingness to ask questions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Professionalism and the ability to work well within a team.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Paid overtime and a housing allowance are available for interns who do not reside near the office location.
