About the role#
We are looking for a Transportation Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. This role supports our field and office teams while providing students with practical experience in transportation construction. You will work under the direct supervision of the Transportation Manager to observe how engineering designs move from the office to the field.
What you'll do#
- Support field and office teams on transportation construction projects.
- Apply standard construction and inspection techniques and procedures.
- Perform various assignments as needed to assist the team.
- Gain insight into construction administration and quality control processes.
- Receive mentorship from licensed engineers and certified construction inspectors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Completion of your sophomore year by the start of the internship.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A willingness to work outdoors on active construction sites in varying weather conditions.
- A valid driver license and reliable transportation are preferred.

- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time position.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Paid overtime and a housing allowance are provided for interns who do not live near the office location.
