About the role#
The School of Engineering, Technology and Aeronautics is looking for an IDEA Lab Assistant to support students on the New Hampshire campus. You will oversee lab operations, ensure safety protocols are followed, and assist with various student projects.
What you'll do#
- Monitor the lab to ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Teach machine fundamentals to students when required.
- Supervise project team work and ensure one assistant is present per machine per team.
- Direct student groups to clean up machining areas and store tools properly.
- Report broken tooling and any injuries to staff.
- Attend monthly meetings and complete other tasks assigned by the lab coordinator.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a SNHU degree program.
- Eligibility for work study as part of your financial aid package.
- Majors preferred include Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
Location & details#
- This position is on-site in New Hampshire.
- The role is part-time and follows a rolling application term.
- The pay range is $13.00 to $15.00 per hour.
