About the role#
The Christman Company is hiring an Assistant Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 program in Sterling, Virginia. This full-time, paid internship offers undergraduate students hands-on experience with building projects and various delivery methods.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and technical support to the project team.
- Manage Requests for Information (RFI), document control, and submittals.
- Summarize discussions and decisions from project team and subcontractor meetings.
- Assist the Project Manager with identifying inspections and maintaining inspection logs.
- Update contract drawings to reflect approved changes.
- Help Superintendents with daily reports and manage project progress and quality photos.
- Support site safety initiatives and report safety concerns to project leadership.
What you'll need#
- Active, full-time enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.
