About the role#
The Christman Company is hiring an Estimating Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 program in Irving, Texas. This full-time, paid internship provides hands-on experience with building types and construction delivery methods. You will work directly with our estimating team to support project planning and documentation.
What you'll do#
- Read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
- Quantify materials and organize takeoffs for audits.
- Contact trade contractors and suppliers to gather pricing information.
- Develop 4D models, Facility Asset Management Models, and work with Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality technologies.
- Visit active construction sites to observe in-progress building processes.
- Learn about mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time sophomore, junior, or senior.
- Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
