About the role#
The Christman Company is hiring Assistant Project Engineer Interns for the Summer 2027 program. This role provides administrative and technical support to the project team during planning or construction phases. You will gain hands-on experience by working directly with project managers and superintendents.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with document control, including Requests for Information (RFI) and submittal tracking.
- Summarize key discussions, questions, and decisions from project, owner, and subcontractor meetings.
- Review specification books to ensure project quality and compliance.
- Help the Project Manager identify necessary inspections, create inspection logs, and schedule site visits.
- Assist superintendents with daily reports and manage progress or quality documentation photos.
- Maintain safety awareness and support the logistics of the site-specific safety plan.
What you'll need#
- Active, full-time enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
