About the role#
The Christman Company is hiring an Assistant Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 program. You will join our operations team to gain hands-on experience during project planning or construction phases. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Irving, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and technical support to the project team.
- Assist with Request for Information (RFI) processes, document control, submittals, cost tracking, and schedule updates.
- Summarize discussions, questions, and decisions from project team and subcontractor meetings.
- Review specification books to ensure project quality and compliance.
- Help the Project Manager identify inspections, establish inspection logs, and coordinate with inspectors.
- Update contract drawings to reflect approved changes.
- Assist Superintendents with daily reports and manage progress and quality photos.
- Support logistics for safety initiatives and follow site-specific safety plans.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
