About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join our Technology, Data, AI, and Operations organization for a summer program. You will work alongside experienced engineers to design, build, test, and enhance applications that support our business operations and customers. This role provides exposure to modern software engineering practices, cloud technologies, and emerging tools like generative AI. We look for students who are ready to contribute to meaningful projects and gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders within an Agile environment.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including coding, debugging, documentation, and code reviews.
- Use modern programming languages, development frameworks, and cloud technologies to build reliable solutions.
- Apply AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and software quality.
- Analyze complex technical problems and present solutions to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student expecting to graduate in May 2028 with a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, and JavaScript.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
