About the role#
The University of New Mexico Athletics department is hiring Student Managers to support various programs, including football, basketball, and equipment operations. This is an ongoing, rolling recruitment process to fill positions on an as-needed basis. You will assist with the daily logistics that keep athletic teams running, from practice setup to game-day operations.
What you'll do#
- Manage daily team operations, including laundry, hydration setup, and equipment handling.
- Organize and maintain team gear, which requires lifting items between 30 and 50 pounds.
- Track statistics and operate the game or practice clock during events.
- Attend team meetings and help with film analysis.
- Travel with teams to away games when required.
- Assist with on-field or on-court activities during practices and competitions.
What you'll need#
- Availability to work evenings and weekends to cover practices and games.
- Physical ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds regularly.
- Current eligibility for State or Federal Work-Study.
- Enrollment in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Communications, or Kinesiology.
