About the role#
This is a full-time summer internship with the Healthcare Professional Liability team at Tokio Marine HCC. You will work under supervision to support underwriters, learn the business, and shadow team members. This position runs from May 18, 2027, to August 7, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Review and analyze transaction submissions, including financial statements and purchase agreements.
- Assess transaction risks and prepare preliminary terms for policy indications.
- Assist underwriters with managing the deal pipeline and maintaining electronic underwriting files.
- Coordinate the due diligence process with outside counsel and accountants.
- Attend marketing events, business development meetings, and group strategy sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
- Completion of at least 60 hours of general college coursework with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A preference for students with a graduation date around Spring 2028.

- This role is based in New York, New York.
- The work modality is hybrid, requiring attendance at the office four days per week.
- This is a paid internship with a pay range of $23 to $29 per hour.
