About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers undergraduate students a look into the transaction risk insurance industry. You will work with the Transaction Risk Insurance team in New York to support the underwriting process. This program includes professional development training, mentoring, and exposure to the full lifecycle of a policy from submission to issuance.
What you'll do#
- Review and analyze M&A transaction submissions, including financial statements and purchase agreements.
- Evaluate transaction risks and prepare preliminary terms for RWI policy indications.
- Manage electronic underwriting files and assist with the deal pipeline.
- Coordinate the due diligence process with outside counsel and accountants.
- Prepare insurance policies for issuance.
- Attend marketing events, business development meetings, and group strategy sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student in finance, accounting, business, economics, or pre-law.
- Rising college senior status.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality and diplomacy.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: On-site, 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday).
- Compensation: $24 to $40 per hour.
