About the role#
TPC Las Vegas is seeking military interns through the DoD Skillbridge program to support our golf course maintenance operations. You will work on-site to assist in maintaining the grounds of our par-71, 7,104-yard course. This is a full-time internship opportunity for transitioning service members.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine golf course maintenance as directed by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations or Assistant Golf Course Superintendents.
- Complete training for each procedure before performing tasks.
- Follow guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual.
- Maintain logs for machine operation, maintenance, and gas usage.
- Perform specific tasks including line trimming, edging cart paths and bunkers, ball mark repair, divot filling, sod laying, and operating utility vehicles or blowers.
- Operate hand tools, backhoes, and walk top dress equipment.
- Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe.
- Clean machinery after use and report any deficiencies to the Equipment Technician.
- Wear required personal protective clothing and equipment to meet safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Must be a transitioning service member.
- A high school diploma or equivalent education.
- The ability to understand and follow directions.
- The ability to operate golf course machinery.
- Physical ability to lift, pull, or push 50 pounds or more, and work in various outdoor weather conditions.
