About the role#
This is a DoD Skillbridge Military Internship focused on golf course maintenance at TPC San Antonio. You will work on-site in a full-time capacity to gain hands-on experience with golf course grounds and equipment operation.
What you'll do#
- Maintain logs for machine operation, maintenance, and gas usage.
- Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe.
- Clean all machinery after each use.
- Inspect equipment and report any issues to the Equipment Technician.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as line trimming, edging cart paths, filling divots, and operating utility vehicles.
- Follow established safety protocols and wear required protective equipment.
- Assist the Director of Golf Course Maintenance and Assistant Superintendents with daily operations.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow instructions and operate golf course machinery.
- Physical ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds or more.
- Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
