About the role#
This position is for students planning to attend a Certified John Deere Ag Tech Program. You will participate in a two-year associate degree program while gaining hands-on experience at our dealership. The goal is to prepare you for a career as a service technician by combining classroom learning with on-the-job training.
What you'll do#
- Complete two years of instructor-led classroom and lab training at a John Deere Tech School.
- Assist senior technicians with basic service tasks to build your technical skills.
- Learn to remove, disassemble, and recondition equipment components.
- Perform pre-delivery set-up and inspections for new equipment.
- Document diagnostics and repairs accurately on work orders.
- Meet labor efficiency goals and manage billable time.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety regulations.
- Obtain certifications in Electrical, Hydraulics, and Service ADVISOR training.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment or plans to attend a Certified John Deere Ag Tech Program at a participating college.
- Ability to complete the minimum required onsite hours at the dealership.
- Interest in pursuing a career in Mechanical Engineering or Agriculture.
