About the role#
The John Deere Tech Student program is a two-year associate degree path designed to prepare you for a career as a service technician. You will balance classroom and lab training with onsite work at our dealership. This role focuses on building your technical skills through hands-on experience and formal education.
What you'll do#
- Complete two years of instructor-led classroom and lab training at a John Deere Tech School.
- Work onsite at the dealership to meet minimum hour requirements.
- Assist senior technicians with basic service tasks and learn to perform them independently.
- Obtain certifications in Electrical, Hydraulics, and Service ADVISOR systems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
- Document diagnostics and repairs on work orders.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace while following all safety regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or firm plans to enroll in a Certified John Deere Ag Tech Program at a participating college.
- Completion of a two-year associate degree is a prerequisite for this position.
- A strong work ethic and a desire to learn new technical skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
