About the role#
This position is for students planning to attend a Certified John Deere Ag Tech Program. You will combine two years of instructor-led classroom and lab training with on-the-job experience at our dealership. The goal is to prepare you for a full-time career as a certified service technician.
What you'll do#
- Complete two years of coursework at a John Deere Tech School.
- Work onsite at our dealership to gain hands-on experience.
- Assist senior technicians with basic service tasks.
- Obtain certifications in Electrical, Hydraulics, and Service ADVISOR systems.
- Develop skills in the removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of equipment components.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work area and follow all safety regulations.
- Document diagnostics and repairs on work orders.
What you'll need#
- Plans to enroll in a Certified John Deere Ag Tech Program.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to complete the minimum required hours of onsite work.
- An interest in understanding service department operations and labor efficiencies.
