About the role#
This position is for students planning to attend a Certified John Deere Ag Tech Program. You will complete a two-year associate degree while gaining hands-on experience at a TRULAND Equipment dealership. This role prepares you for a career as a service technician by combining classroom learning with on-the-job training.
What you'll do#
- Complete two years of instructor-led classroom and lab training at a John Deere Tech School.
- Assist senior technicians with daily service tasks.
- Learn to perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Obtain certifications in Electrical, Hydraulics, and Service ADVISOR training.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform all tasks in an orderly fashion.
- Document diagnostics and repairs on work orders.
- Develop skills in the removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of components.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment or intent to enroll in a Certified John Deere Ag Tech Program at an accredited college.
- Ability to complete a two-year associate degree.
- Interest in pursuing a career as a mechanic technician.
- Ability to work the required minimum hours onsite at the dealership.
- Focus on learning and following safety regulations.
