About the role#
This position is for students enrolled in the John Deere Tech program. You will combine classroom learning with on-the-job training at our dealership. The goal is to prepare you for a career as a service technician. You will work toward an associate degree while gaining hands-on experience with John Deere equipment.
What you'll do#
- Complete two years of instructor-led classroom and lab training.
- Assist senior technicians with repairs and maintenance.
- Perform basic service tasks as assigned.
- Work toward certifications in Electrical, Hydraulics, and Service ADVISOR training.
- Manage your billable time and complete assigned work orders.
- Keep your work area clean and organized.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or firm plans to enroll in a Certified John Deere Ag Tech Program.
- Interest in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering coursework.
- Ability to work onsite at the dealership for the required hours.
- Willingness to learn and assist service technicians with daily tasks.
