About the role#
Manchester Veterinary Services offers a DVM/VMD externship for students currently enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary program. This role provides hands-on experience in a companion animal practice that recently completed a facility expansion. You will work alongside experienced veterinarians in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with routine veterinary procedures.
- Participate in surgeries and diagnostic processes.
- Provide care for patients.
- Collaborate with the hospital staff.
- Engage in professional development opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary school pursuing a VMD or DVM degree.
- Clinical interest in wellness and dentistry.
- Interest in gaining experience with basic soft tissue and ophthalmic surgeries.
- Familiarity with in-house lab equipment, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and therapeutic laser.
