About the role#
This paid internship provides Master's students with hands-on clinical experience in community-based family programs. You will work directly with staff to support children and families while fulfilling your academic practicum requirements.
What you'll do#
- Shadow counselors during home and community sessions.
- Manage a reduced caseload and implement specific interventions.
- Facilitate individual, group, or family therapy sessions.
- Apply evidence-based practices in your clinical work.
- Attend three weekly meetings focused on individual, team, and clinical consultation.
- Access ongoing clinical trainings to build your professional skills.
- Document client progress accurately in an electronic medical record system.
- Provide transportation to various locations as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's degree program for a social services discipline, such as Psychology or Criminal Justice.
- A valid driver's license.
- A personal automobile for work purposes.
- Proof of auto insurance.
