About the role#
This is a paid internship for students currently pursuing a Master's degree in a social services discipline. The program provides hands-on experience in community-based family programs. You will work with a flexible, non-traditional schedule designed around the needs of the families served.
What you'll do#
- Shadow counselors during home- and community-based family sessions.
- Carry a reduced caseload and implement specific interventions.
- Facilitate individual, group, or family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Attend three weekly meetings for individual, team, and clinical consultation.
- Access clinical trainings to enhance your professional skills.
- Provide transportation to various locations as needed.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in an electronic medical record system.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Master's degree program in a social services field, such as Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related areas.
- A current, valid driver's license.
- Access to an automobile for work purposes.
- Proof of auto insurance.
